Hohoho. What a nice past week it's been. Flag raising from Monday to Thursday and heavy (not to mention a little strange) exams throughout the week. what a joy! Thank goodness it's all over.

Flag raising was exceptionally bad for me since it is my innate nature to worry incessantly about many things. After being re-taught how to tie the flag properly, Jia Hui and I sat down on the quadrangle steps and watched all the girls mill about upstairs, when the bell rang we stood up to take our positions in front of the flag posts. Unbeknownst to us, the white power (which I assumed to be bleach) which I saw earlier in the morning lying all over the steps had stuck to our skirts. Nice white asses for the whole school to see.

To top it off, I was so nervous during the National Anthem that I mentally erased one whole verse of Majulah Singapura and the Singapore Flag flying exceptionally high for the second verse bore testament to that. It was so freaky! I felt like everyone was staring at me (and they probably were seing that my skirt was white and I was raising the Singapore flag) and my legs felt like they were reduced to jelly.

I had Chinese compo (no lao hu!) and then Geog. Ugh. I misread another question again and hence lost 9 marks. When will I learn to read my Geog questions properly?

Tuesday was English 2 (comprehension) and Chemistry. English 2 went pretty well, except I kept (and still do) agonising after my choice of words for my English summary, "abysmal lack of it(communication)". Chemistry was well, Chemistry. I find myself rather apathetic to it now, a combination of utter depression and a ferocious teacher. I hope I pass at least, though I doubt it, knowing myself I'll probably fail by 1 mark or something.

On Wednesday I had wonderful E Math. But before the most wonderful of all my required subjects, I had a totally wonderful flag raising (I know you can't hear the inflection of my voice, but I hope you've been smart enough to sense the sarcasm)!

It was raining when I got to school and it continued to drizzle when the time came around for Jia Hui and I to collect the flags for flag raising.

"Is it rain positions?" we asked the lady at the counter, "Is it rain positions Mrs Sim?" asked the lady at the counter. "Yes, it's rain postions because it's raining" came the reply from the smartly dressed principal.

Simple enough? Oh no. In my fantasically deluded mind, rain positions = flag poles at bamboo courtyard (ie: the old poles about 50m away from the ones we were supposed to use). So I took both flags from Jia Hui and hid them snugly in my jacket so avoid getting them wet and we ran through the drizzle to the bamboo courtyard.

For some innate reason we didn't start hoisting up the flags immidiately but chose to sit around on the wooden platforms (some that would pay off later) and talk. When we noticed the Pa systems was nowhere to be seen and that we hardly saw any MGS girls about, I started to get this very bad feeling, especially when the bell rang and nothing changed.

After a few minutes, I couldn't take the strangeness of the sitation anymore and got Jia Hui to run back with me to the main flag poles at the quadrangle. Oh my! I almost died when I saw the WHOLE SCHOOL staring down on us as we ran. T minus 2 minutes to assembly!

I frantically gave Jia Hui the MGS flag and quickly attached the flag and raised it befre tying it up, unfortunately Jia Hui had trouble attaching her flag and was delayed. It was still raining. T minus 15 seconds!

I ran over and started to help her hoist up the flag and tie. T minus zero seconds! And that is how I ended up standing infront of the MGS flagpole in the drizzling rain, with my skirt at an angle, with my jacket on the wet ground. Fun fun fun!

After the command to be at ease was given, Jia Hui and I ran to shelter where we should have rightfully been from the start. D'0h! It was very funny though. I still think of it and crack up. It didn't help that Mrs Sim gave a devotion on phobias: flagophobia, the fear of flag raising.

Afterwards we apolodised to Mrs Sim and she was really nice about it and Jia Hui and I scarpered off for our E Math paper.

I was cold during E Math and my jacket was damp from the ground and I lost 24 marks. One 4 mark question was on acceleration, thing is, we weren't taught about acceleration! Wa lao eh. All the physics girls knew and the bio girls didn't know how to do it! Grrrrrrr. Not fair!

Biology was simply the strangest paper I ever sat for.

Thursday was Hist elect and Math. Math was bad, I ran out of time yet again. Hisotry was alright I guess, I hope I do well though my essay question for 12 marks was answered mostly based on my general knowledge. Sigh.

I didn't have to do flag raising on Friday! Hah :D I got to go later for my Lit paper since I don't do A Math. Lit was quite alright but my arm felt like dropping off and my head was spinning after the paper.

Weekend :D took a much needed rest while everyone else crammed for A Math and Physics! Hehehe.

Nothing really eventful happened except that as I was about to get to the stairwell to climb the stairs to church, I tripped over the step and flew headfirst towards the toilets -.- I managed to grab the corner of the wall, preventing myself from falling down but letting the Ong brothers and Neh Neh Nail see my go flying. Argh.

Harry Potter and Philosophy: If Aristotle ran Hogwarts.

Hahaha, how dumb. I'm still allowed to use the net a little, because I needed to do research as I write my lit paper. Oh well. But after I'm done I doubt I'll be allowed on anymore. Oh well (:

Sek fun sek fun! (:

Friday, September 02, 2005

Ah. I won't be online anymore till my exams are over (D-Day: 12th October), sigh. Though that being said I might stay back to use the computers in school, but that's highly unlikely.

Ahhh, banned from the net :(

Wednesday, August 31, 2005

Ah. Results are out :(

I failed Geog! Sigh. Even passing the 2nd test wasn't good enough to override my dismal failure the for the 1st test.

Nevermind, I'll work double hard for geog for the exams! (If I remember that is.)

I'll have to study chem very hard as well, since I failed it (Yet another subject I would have said impossible to fail in the beginning of this year) and I don't want the wrath of the Kweester on me.

Though interestingly enough, I passed E Math for once, though very very slightly.

L1R5 - 27 >.<

Well, at least I passed math...

Ah, online after disappearing for pretty much the whole week. New record, hahaha.

Oh yeah, the Nerd Geekson story doesn't equate nerds and wax. It's just written about a Nerd who uses WAX and has lofty aspirations (remind you anyone?) in fact, the very basis of my inspiration for it is: The Geeks Get The Girls by American Hi-Fi.

Funny bit is: I've never even heard the song, for me anything hi-fi(ve) is more like
this.

Oh well, shall wait for a bit of inspiration (or pressure) before restarting the Prologue (to what you guys can guess).

Last week of school! Ah. Can't wait for the holidays.

I am happy (:

Today started off really crappily with my dripping milo over my skirt, then as I sat down to eat my breakfast this weird skinny bug started to fly around me so I had to go switch on the fan.

But then, things started to get better :D Miss Goh didn't come! O Happy Day! I'm not evil, I don't curse her to die, I just want her to erm, take a break. Or retire (preferably).

Then during History, Steph complimented me on my story :D Anyone can say it's good, but if Steph says it's good that means it's really good (: The only comment I got so far about the story was "MEL! I'm going to kill you!" - Deborah, or something along those lines anyway.

I hope Miss Goh doesn't come tomorrow. Ugh. 1 and a half periods of Chem X.X Plus we're getting our papers back. I wonder how badly I did. Ay. Nevermind, shall find out tomorrow.

As promised though a wee bit late (:

-----
Nerd Geekson
Once upon a time, there lived Nerd Geekson. Nerd Geekson studied hard and went to Harvard University. In his free time, he would spend hours cooped up in his garage laboratory, attempting to invent a substance that would hold the follicles upon his scalp at the exact 45 degree angle.

He was still working on it. There was just something sorely lacking in his formula.

Nerd Geekson was a nice chap, however he was completely and utterly clueless to reality and lived in his own domain of Geekdom. Even the nerds on campus shunned Nerd Geekson; just that he didn’t care and didn’t pay attention.

However one day as Nerd Geekson was strolling about the gardens on his way home, his face buried in a book of Quantum Physics, he crashed into someone.

As he fell backwards and landed on his ass, he watched the blur of the person he ran into grab his arm and lift him up. As he dusted the dirt off the seat of his pants, the other person spoke up.

“Oh my, I’m soooo sorry!” Nerd Geekson looked up and started to squint, where were his spectacles? Everything was just a blur to him without his other set of eyes.

“Why are you squinting at me? Ewww, pervert!” Nerd Geekson saw a blur of flesh race towards him and seconds later felt the hand of the stranger make contact with his face.

“Oww! I was squinting because I lost my spectacles.” Nerd Geekson rubbed his tingling cheek, “Can you help me find it? All I see are colours.”

“Oh my! I’m sooo sorry. Wait, what are spectacles?” Nerd Geekson got down on all fours and starting running his hands along the gravel path.

“They’re… Oh nevermind, I think I’ve found it.” Nerd Geekson got up and wiped the filmy lenses on his woolly jumper before placing the thick black frame on his nose.

He mouth fell open and saliva started to drip for the corners of his mouth as he scanned his eyes up and down the gorgeous specimen of womankind. A busty blonde girl stood there in front of him, decked out in the all too familiar cheerleader togs of his college.

“Hehehe, that’s sooo gross! Are you alright?” Nerd nodded his head silent, using the back of his palm to wipe the drool off.

“Me? Oh yeah I am.” He started into her eyes; they were as blue as copper (II) sulphate. Her lips, a shade of beautiful burgundy like Bromine gas her skin as white as Magnesium Oxide, what a resplendent figure of beauty!

“Ohh, If you’re fine then I must be going! I have cheerleading practise! See ya!” And with those words goddess pranced off. Nerd didn’t even catch her name.
Nerd Geekson Reached down and grabbed his book of Quantum Physics off the ground, he examined the creased spine carefully before looking in the direction the goddess has disappeared off to. He tucked the book under his arm and continued his journey home.

For the next few days, Nerd Geekson spent more time on campus quietly watching his fellow students and the professors go about, keeping a sharp eye out for the goddess and her flouncing flaxen hair.

Finally on Friday afternoon, exactly 3 days since he had walked smack into the goddess, he spotted her in the distance, wandering about. He quickly got up from his spot under the centuries old oak tree and straightened his bow tie and readjusted his suspenders. He licked his lips and started to walk excitedly towards the goddess.

As she got closer, Nerd Geekson suddenly froze up. The goddess soon waltzed past him, in her own world of happy pink bunnies and candy growing on trees and he caught a whiff of her perfume, ahhh, what a delicate scent!

The perfume went straight to his head and knocked him out of his stupor. He looked about a little dazed when he saw goddess strolling further and further away from him. In desperation, Nerd Geekson ran towards her to keep up.

“Goddess, goddess…” He cried, almost collapsing on the tarmac from his little bit of physical exertion.

“Huh? Oh my! It’s you again!” The goddess stopped and helped Nerd Geekson to his feet.

“Oh thank you… You smell nice” Nerd Geekson looked at his shoes and blushed.

“Really?” Goddess started to giggle, “I didn’t use any deodorant today and I just finished a two hour cheerleading session.”

“Oh, erm, would you like to go for a coffee tomorrow?” Nerd Geekson looked at goddess’s face hopefully.

“Sure! See you at 4 at the Valley Coffee Shop!” And goddess pranced away from Nerd Geekson yet again.

Nerd Geekson floated all the way home on Cloud Nine.

As Nerd Geekson’s feet touched the pavement outside his house (his cloud had slowly vaporised off) he was suddenly stuck with inspiration! He dashed to his laboratory and threw all he required chemicals with the extra missing ingredient together and waited impatiently as the mixture was being heated up on a Bunsen burner.

The instant the mixture boiled Nerd Geekson grabbed it off the fire with his bare hands, the pure anticipation blocking out the pain that was shooting through the nerve receptors in his hands and slathered the piping hot gel upon his scalp.

Unfortunately this time, the pain had caught up with the overtly eager Nerd Geekson and he collapsed on the cemented floor screaming like an MGS girl and clutching his scalp in agony.

The world around him started to darken considerably and fade as he lapsed into a state on unconsciousness.

When he finally woke up it was already night and the pain was almost gone except for a tingly sensation in his scalp.

He got up and excitedly raced inside his house past his surprised parents and ducked into the dimly lit bathroom and stared at himself in the mirror, only to be hit by a way of disappointment as he saw his hair in its usual limp unruly mop of nerdy hair.

He sighed and felt the tears well up, so close yet so far!

He walked out of the bathroom dejectedly and sat himself down at the dinner table.

The next day Nerd Geekson rubbed some ordinary hair gel into his locks and spent an hour examining every aspect of his reflection to ensure that he looked perfect for his date with the Goddess and left his house early for a leisurely stroll to the Valley Coffee Shop for the first date of his entire life.

As he neared the Valley Coffee Shop, Nerd Geekson smelled the scent of freshly roasted coffee beans wafting through the dry autumn air and his taste buds watered in anticipation. Nerd Geekson quickened his pace.

At the same time, Goddess, or Deborah to her parents, was making her way to the Valley Coffee Shop on foot from the Shopping Mall opposite the road.

She examined her nails whilst waiting for the traffic to clear when something pink and glittery caught her eye.

The pink glittery bunny stood in the middle of the road watching her quizzically and cocked its head to one side.

Deborah stood there on the pavement mesmerised by the pink glittery bunny. Just then, the bunny started to hop away!

Aghast, Deborah ran off the pavement and started to chase the little rabbit down the lane, her blonde her flouncing with every step she took, oblivious to the speeding and honking cars around her. Bunny bunny bunny!
Nerd Geekson was just about to enter the Valley Coffee Shop when the sound of screeching tires, excessive honking and yelled expletives caught his attention. He took a step backwards and twisted his body at an angle, not letting go of the doorknob, to see what the commotion was.

To his horror, he saw his goddess running in circles in the middle of the road, arms outstretched as if to catch a pet. Cars swerved in all directions to avoid her and as Nerd Geekson watched, two cars collide amid a flurry of vulgarities from both drivers.

He had to do something! But what? He was Nerd Geekson, loser extraordinaire. He was the guy who was always last to be chosen for a team during Gym, the guy who crumpled under the weight of a medicine ball.

Suddenly he felt energy course through his veins and to his astonishment, biceps, triceps and all sorts of ceps started to grow right before his eyes! His shirt started to strain against the growing muscles before finally ripping at the seams and throwing buttons everywhere.

Nerd Geekson let go of the door and flexed his new found muscles, half admiring his new psyche in the reflection cast by the Coffee Shop’s tinted windows when he finally saw it.

He was so happy that he started to cry as he lifted his hands to touch his hair. It was no mirage; his hair was indeed at a 45 degree angle!

He turned around on the spot and ran off the pavement towards his darling goddess, ignoring the cars around him and scooped her up in his arms despite her vehement protests.

He stretched out his right arm, his hand balled up as if preparing to punch someone, just like he had once seen Superman do in a ‘80s flick. His feet started to lift off the ground and he was soon coursing through the air with goddess in his arms.

Nerd Geekson turned to gaze at his goddess. She sat there in his arms quietly, looking back at him. She had long ago shut up when she noticed that they were airborne, shocked more than anything else.

Nerd Geekson smiled at her and she smiled back shyly.

Nerd Geekson diverted his attention away from Deborah and looked for a suitable landing place and started to descend to the Valley Park.

He gingerly set the goddess down and watched as she brushed some dust off her skirt. She gave him one last smile and turned to walk away into the distance as the sun started to set.

As he watched her walk off, Nerd Geekson smiled to himself as he felt the power sap from his muscles. He knew that he was now a superhero, there to save silly (but pretty) girls from their psychotic trances of pink rodents. He was GELMAN!

Nerd Geekson raised his fist into the air and set off for home.

Hello hello, 'tis been a rather cough-y week.

Chem test on Wednesday. Ughh. Don't want to think of it now. I have a very bad feeling about it, especially the bit where I realised I screwed up big time one milisecond after the paper left my fingers.

Oh well.

Today Miss Bong bought the promised papers on the breakdown of our personalities.

The 5 groups are as follows:
Band A - Restless
Band B - Dreamer
Band C - Creative
Band D - Compliance
Band E - Standard

Now before I start on my own class, I also saw the report of the teachers when I was photocopying it (going to add it to my memories box (: ):
'Band E: majority of students fall into this catagory. Their profiles are either balanced or compatible with the current school system.' and on another sheet was the breakdown in percentages across the levels.

Sec 1 had about 4%, Sec 2 had around 1%, Sec 3 about 3% and Sec 4 had 1%

How fun.

On the bottom of the sheet there was this note in really tiny font.

'Majority of students are in Band D (53%) with 30% in Band A and 7% in Band B. Band D percentage is significantly below school (70%) and level (76%) average [ie: bad]. Band A percentage is much higher than the school average (17%) and level average (14%) [30% in my class]. Band B percentage is also higher than school (4%) and level (3%) average. This class should be a more "challanging" one to manage.'

In an interesting note, not one of my classmates is a Band E. I thought I'd be a Band A (restless) and was surprised when i found out that I was listed as Band B. When I read the descriptor for Band B (dreamer) I was so surprised that it mirrored me exactly >.<

Band B - Dreamer
Usually very creative and imaginative. Have weaker foundation in Mathematics and Science subjects. Also finds it difficult to comprehend logical reasoning and concepts. Dislikes rules and regulation or routines. Weak in organisation and time management skills.

Suggested learning approach:
Provide more motivation and encouragement. They will do their best for people or things that they like. Need explict examples to understand concepts. Enforce habit or routine in handling tasks.

And if you were wondering, Band C is 'A less extreme case of Band B: Dreamer'

Band A is equal to Band B is unteachability followed by the less extreme Band C then Band D and the noticibly (abnormally) missing Band E.

On the last bits of Nerd Geekson because I can't figure out a proper ending since the one I orginally planned was unfeasible and unrealistic (even for MY standards) but I might have a workable idea now.

Have a happy swelting night!

I really really tried to post about Friday, but somehow every sentance just sounded wrong. Ay. I'm still coughing alot but I'll go to school tomorrow. Better coughing to death that miss one chem lesson >.<

I have to see Miss Goh after school to get scolded to. How fun.

Have a nice sucky Monday.

Sunday, August 14, 2005

Ah, finally done with 5 mins to go before the deadline. In the end I just did some glorified Pictionary game. I hope it's not rejected because I really can't think of anything else.

My mind really feels whacked out. So this is why those druggies drink
Codine (a cough medcine for those of you lazy people). Though of course this should give pretty good reasons as to why to NOT take it:
- constipation (could for when you're going camping though)
- dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, or decreased appetite (sounds like my own symptoms)
- dizziness, tiredness, or lightheadedness (more again like mine, 'specially the lightheadedness bit)
- muscle twitches (would you like to get beaten up because your cheek muscle twitch looked suspiciously like a wink at that Ah Beng's girl?)
- sweating (all rubbish, that bit about sweating men being sexy, on a sexy ratio they rank only second lowest to spitting, any normal lady/man would run for the hills except if it were a childbirth)
- itching (like hives?)

- decreased urination (isn't that good? except the urea would probably run around your system and toxify your entire blood stream, on second though I'd better go to the toilet soon)
- decreased sex drive (oh horror of horrors! 'tis enough to make a gigolo shudder)

Anyway, I'll update about the Camp Christie stayover tomorrow (Just like the many times I've promised to update about certain things like overseas trips and still have yet to update about) but I'll promise on the life of my first baby to relase the long forgotten Nerd Geekson story by this time next week (If my first child dies I know who to blame). Have a nice remaining 7 hours of the weekend!
Bloody hell.

I've got a nasty cough and my mind's going a little out of whack because of the medicine I took and now with a deadline fast approaching, I have to submit a proposal of an activity. That and the fact that I have no idea what activity can actaully propose. I'd rather propose to someone now than fill an A4 size paper with random bits of bullshit about Our Chalet.

Note how bad my English has degraded into and that should give you an idea of just how strangely my mind is functioning, not the mention the fact that every other word I type is misspelled and that I have to backspace every few seconds to correct the error.

Stupid proposal. Stupid cough. Stupid medicine. I wanna sleep.

Yay, Corpse Bride! I can't wait to see it (: The trailers are really good but somehow Trailer 2 makes me laugh (:

Hmm, just realised that I haven't posted in a week so I might as well continue the story of the RAT.

From where I left off, I was talking about my grandma trying to poison the rat, that night I slept on the floor in my parents room. The next morning she told me that the food hadn't been touched at all so I went back to sleep in my room as per normal.

All went well and we all assumed the rat had gone off for greener pastures (or dirtier rooms) till last Sunday.

I felt too sleepy to continue reading around 11:45-ish so I switched off the main overhanging light and snuggled down and tried to sleep.

5 Minutes later I heard a rustling of plastic bags (like the last time the rat was there) and I immidiately went on full alert.

One of my biggest fears is having weird stuff, insects, rodents the like jump on me. It's just this fear I have ever since I was 8 and having a shower early morning before school and a cockroach jumped on me. Stupid roach.

At first i thought the rustling was a fluke, maybe it wasn't a rat so I closed my eyes and tried to sleep again. Then almost as if on cue the bag started to rustle 5 mins later and this cycle repeated itself about 2 more times before I decided that I couldn't get any sleep with the rat making noise (well that and the fact that is was there).

Problem was I was terrified of the rat. Sure I'm 100x bigger than it, but it's like how elephants are afraid of mice. Then I remembered that it hadn't made noise when the lights were still switched on.

I had to get the lights on, but how?

Then I had an idea! But it seemed extremely silly. I sat upright on my bed and looked around my room and went "ROAR!"

I waited for a few more minutes before going "ROAR!" again till I gathered enough courage to scramble over the empty bed and grab this large flower that I bought when I was out with Stef and the others.

I ran over to the table lamp, fabric rose in hand and tilted the light till it shone right at the spot where I heard the rustling: the top of my cupboard. After roaring more times I ran to the door and switched on the main lights and ran out to my parent's room before finally moving all my stuff over.

Aaaaa, 11PM! I need to go sleep now. I hope there are no rats tonigh >.<

RAT RAT
Wished I had a BAT
BAT BAT
I wanna whack the RAT

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Rat in my room :( I heard it scratching away last night. Before you all go 'huo gai!' let me set things right: I don't eat in my room!

&(%&#( lao shu ai da mi. I don't even eat rice in my room! The last time I actually ate was like; in April or May and the most residue I could have left behind was a few bread crumbs >.<

Anyhoo, on the second night(-ish I can't remember the exact date) I returned from China, I heard the rustling of plastic bags nearby the door. My thought process went as follows when I heard the repeated noise:

Unfamiliar sound -> Repetitive -> Night -> GHOST!

Which of course, ensured a almost sleepless night. I'm super paranoid about ghosts and the like because I've heard and seen some strange things when I was Sec 1.

Around 12 midnight, I heard noise from outside; distinctively human noise, ie: grandpa going on his hourly toilet run so I decided to make a break for it and when I ran out of the door I discovered that it was my grandma going for her twice a night toilet run instead. (Why do old people use the loo so much?)

And my grandma ended up sleeping on the empty bed next to me and she too heard the noise, but I didn't feel so scared anymore.

The next day, she told me that I had a RAT in my room. Eeeeeee.

She put poison to kill the rat the next night but the rat was too cunning and left the food alone.

Hmmm, I'll continue this tomorrow, going to try and do chem >.<

I remember the first computer game I played, albeit fuzzily. Of course the game is so old now that even the official website has been removed and changed to a command and conquer site. I did however manage to find this (:

Ahhh, I feel so old now. I was like, 8-ish when my dad brought this home one day (from JB of course)

It's been ages since I've thought of Dune 2000, I guess I'm thinking of it because I have the original Dune novel sitting next to me now, a result of a sci-fi loving (and generous) aunt who donated $40 to inkwell if I'd read that book.

Looking at the website makes me feel like playing it again! Ahhh, I remember that infernal worm coming up and gobbling my harvestors, and those cute little quads (that's how I learnt quad meant 4 >.<)

And my favourite house was Ordos (:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Worm eating up hapless tank

Ahhh, I feel like playing it now :( But I'd seriosuly doubt it'll run on a XP computer and I think even the pirates across the courseway have either destroyed or cleared their stock. Sigh. After Dune 2000 was Starcraft with their more complex storylines and units, not to mention graphics but Dune 2000 will always remain in my heart (:

Gee, I sound like a nerd >.<

Ordos, out.

Friday, July 29, 2005

Mmm, going to make this quick since I want to start typing out notes for the next History test (besides the treaty of versailles, what else is it on?) as opposed to doing notes the day before the test and typing like a man(wo)man.

Bio: We dissected a goat's heart today (: So fun. Hehehehe. At first it stank real bad and I felt a little sick when Mrs Lee was showing us the procedure especially when she kept sliding her finger up and down the various valves and poking at the umm, weird white stuff in the chambers (I forgot suddenly >.<)

It didn't help that across the airwell we could hear B2 (stupid bimbos >.<) screaming with every poke at the goat's heart.

Anyway, I dissected the heart with Eleanor, Chessa and Celestine. Chessa and Eleanor watched while Celestine held the heart and I had the dubious honor of cutting the sections of the heart up.

Snip snip snip. Ooops, that looks wrong. Snip snip snip. Hey that looks cool! *someone pokes the heart* snip snip snip. Hey look, I can stuff my finger up this! And look, I can make the heart beat *Celestine grabs the heart and starts squeezing it*

On and on the inane conversations and noises went from out bench. How fun. Well, it didn't get fun till we were actually finished with the heart (which we cheated a little and pretended to identify parts because we wanted to do more interesting stuff with the heart). The heart was pretty much in 4 equal chunks because of the cutting I had done earlier and so we each grabbed a nice chunk and set about desecrating it.

I used the sissors I had in my hand to snip by bit 'o heart into tiny dog food size chunks, Chessa set about cutting the fat off her bit, Eleanor cut shapes from her heart and Celestine ever the depraved humorist stuck her finger up a tendon (or was it a valve?) and used the chunk of heart as a 'finger puppet! say hi!'

Other groups cut their heart into small chunks (bigger than mine though) and dumped it into the basin and pretended that they were making soup.

'I've never seen a class of girls all mutilating their hearts collectively! You girls had better not use the chemicals on it' - Mrs Lee

Which of course made me want to dumb some dilute Nitric Acid (so sads, not strong acids for us) on the heart but I decided to to finish snipping up the heart and then forgot about it afterwards.

How fun (:

On Monday I recieved this sms: "ICIC eh you know the guy who likes to bang his head? Ben Soh? He blew his face off with paraffin today at chem prac!"

I wish I had paraffin for chem prac today so I could aim the mouth at the teacher.

She's always picking on me now and isn't happy till she sees me crying. I should just cry at every slight provocation so she'll be happy for the rest of the day >.<

Man, my internet is running really slow and I have no idea why, waiting for Blogger to load killed my mood to blog about anything interesting (other than this).

Well, Racial Harmony Day was today (we celebrated one day late) and Mrs Liow let us go and change and Gina handed me this super short chinese collar/indian tunic like dress. To make things worse, there were high slits on both sides of the dress.

When I found a pair of black pants 2 hours later, I was so happy. During bio I found someone's Punjabi sash/scarf lying around so I wore it and changed my outfit completely (:

Meanwhile, I can't find the option to change my font like usual, (stupid computer) so I guess I'm stuck like this. Better send it off before the browser decides to close itself >.<

Hahaha, fine, i'll finally post the two links I've been meaning to for a long time but never got around to doing:

Happy? (:

Thursday, July 14, 2005

Oh yeah! The Good Charlotte concert was really good! Just the thing I needed after a really bad day in school.

At first I was a little grumpy because of what happened, but as The Anthem began I started to feel a little happier, loud noisy music and all and at the end of the song I was really into the spirit of things (:

On the other hand, the guys seated next to me were completely dead! They just sat there look grumpy and bored. One even leaned forward so that he could rest his elbow on his knee (he had propped his head up with his hand). They all looked really bored >.<>

Anyway, I counted: 42 people, mainly girls fainted/had to be pulled out from the standing section. At first I was quite disturbed and worried but after a while so many kept on being pulled out and I saw the girls walking away soon after they got over the other side of the barrier.

Throughout the whole concert, I kept wondering when they were going to play Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous, the song that broke through to the Singapore market and they finally played it as the last song (:

Hahaha, for that song I actually got up and jumped along to it. Alot of other people did as well so yeah. except for the three stooges of course. They just sat there and the one next to me had his foot jumped on (by me of course) how fun. I should have jumped on his foot more.

When we exited the indoor stadium, I felt a little woozy, like i had cotton wool stuffed so deeply into my ears that it touched my brain. It was a strange sensation. I couldn't hear properly and my voice was going a little.

Weekend's almost here!

Sunday, July 10, 2005

One hectic week ends and so begins another >.<

At least I got to rest today (: But today was so eeeeee.

Oh well, shall not elaborate. Think happy thoughts (:

But ughhh, next week looks very busy too.

On Monday I have more training, followed by family portrait taking in which I will end up looking like shit and a half dead zombie because of the aforementioned activity.

On Tuesday there's the wonderful Geography test, and maybe after school some activity with my aunt and cousin, plus my uncle bowed to my cousin's pleading and I have to accompany her to the Good Charlotte Concert which I'm not to thrilled about as I wanted to watch CSI (gee, I sound very loser don't I?)

And on Wednesday, I have guides as usual, somehow I don't feel very thrilled about it anymore, but before that I have an E Math test on Circles, something I'm not very clear on. Aaaaaa.

Plus Miss Goh's coming back, which means my stress level will head sky high as usual during Chemistry. Oh well. It'll be over soon. 4 Months, 4 Months!

And my legs itch like hell too because of the training on Friday and I came into contact with grass. Aaaaaa. Hives hives hives!

Friday, July 08, 2005

Man, even doing a simple task like typing makes my arm muscles ache >.<>

Had the first training session today. Aaaaaa. So much flying soil.

We had to changko holes and then cover them back, by the time I was halfway through my second, I was so tired I could barely stand and everytime i flung the changko at the soil, my forehead throbbed with pain more.

Sigh.

Actually, I wonder why I'm doing this at all. Maybe with the hope that I'll be recognized and get promoted? I don't know.

It's a bit like China and Taiwan, as long as Taiwan refuses to recognize that she belongs to China, it's a living insult to China.

As long as I see Serena is PL and does less than me, I just feel so down and upset. I still don't understand why.

And I guess i'll be stuck doing the same crap over next year because I've done the calculations based on the demographic, the voting population, the candidature and the vote casting and I've come to a conclusion: Next year's leaders will be someone nice, but someone who knows nuts about Guides.

At least it's not Adeline >.<

I wish I could stop caring, but I can't. Maybe I should have just quit at the beginning of this year like I was encouraged to, but something just kept me on. I wish I know what it was, then maybe I could get rid of it. Sigh.

My hands hurt.

Thursday, July 07, 2005

Man, that Al Qaeda is at it again, bombing London this time, the day after the announcement was made that the 2012 olympics would be held there. I bet the terrorists had bombs ready in Paris, Moscow, Madrid and possible New York or it's neighbourign states and they'd have bombed them too had they won the bid. Tsk tsk.

Anyway, feeling really stressed out now. Ugh, I don't even know why!

I guess it's because I had to stay back almost everyday for some activity this week and today was another of those super 'pro' days with all my humanities lined up one after the other right before recess. That and the fact I want to spend more time with my cousin who'll be leaving next week. Sigh.

At least I get yummy endorphins (at least that's what I think it's called) from this um, lump of chocolate. It looks like something that comes out of the other end, if you know what I mean. The chocolate from Grace melted into a lump and i went to freeze it (:

Chocolate's still chocolate (:

Aaaaa, my leg and my neck's itchy now. Must be the hot weather :(

Monday, July 04, 2005

Aha? Shall I be lured by the dark side? Methinks not, not till the O levels are over anyway. I'd never leave MGS (:

With my aunt's family back in Singapore after 5 years, It's nice to see my cousin again, being the same age we click easily. However with her entering High School after this summer, my aunt brought up the topic of studying in the USA, ie: leave MGS now and go off and join Grade 9 when school opens in September.

But I won't do that, I've already ruled the thought out of my mind already. I can't just up and leave MGS and all my friends, family just like that.

Still, after O levels, it'll be an option I'd certainly consider since my odds of getting into JC (and i'd only want to go to ACJC anyway) are pretty slim, if I go to poly I won't know how to use it as a stepping stone for a liberal arts course when I go to university.

Thought it will be harder to settle in if I just turn up in the middle of High School as compared to the beginning of when everyone is rather blur and lost.

And I do have family in New Jersey, which is where I'd end up if I go study in the USA anyway. That's what my dad did, except it was in Windsor, Canada.

Oh well, have to leave it all in the Good Lord's hands. We'll find out in 2 more years.

Absolutely NOT funny. Laughing at other schools almong friends is one thing, defacing and insulting in public is quite another.

I really love MGS, same as any other girl would love their respective schools. I don't go around publicy insulting RGS,n ro do I do the same for any other girls school, which is why I geot so angry when I found that someone had defaced the MGS article in Wiki. I already changed it, so it's not there.

Still, this really makes my blood boil. I really felt like going around to every other's school website, since the culprit was most probably a girl from some other 'name brand' school, and defacing it as well.

No. I must not stoop to their level. I am better than this. GRRRRRRRRRR.

aaaa. school is starting >.<

Yayayayayay! Finished 5 math assignments today and one yeterday :D Only 2 more math assignments and 2/3 + essay for english and the reserach for guides.

And it's not last minute for, because last minute work would be done on Sunday, not Friday (well, techinally it's Saturday, but I still think of it as Friday) :D

Seee, I'm not dead just yet.

Wednesday, June 22, 2005

Go check this out!

Quite funny.

"Louder. Turn it up. LOUDER! Never mind that Iraqis didn't understand the words."

"Led Zeppelin. Jimi Hendrix. "Anything weird or kind of strange," Abel said. "Howling laughter. Cackling cries.""

And then the best bit:

"Once Barney gets going, there is no escape." Hehehehe.

""Uncooperative prisoners are being exposed for prolonged periods to...music from children's TV programmes Sesame Street and Barney in the hope of making them talk""

I love you
You love me
We're a happy family
With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you
Won't you say you love me too!

"However, Amnesty International said such tactics may constitute torture."

Finished the book I got for my birthday today (: It was so nice and the ending was so unexpected and sad, but that's how life is.

On the upside, working on another quasi-comedy piece, hope to have it finished by the end of this week.

Excerpt:
"Once upon a time, there lived Nerd Geekson. Nerd Geekson studied hard and went to Harvard University. In his free time, he would spend hours cooped up in his garage laboratory, attempting to invent a substance that would hold the follicles upon his scalp at the exact 45 degree angle.

He was still working on it."

Tuesday, June 14, 2005

Actually I planned a really long entry about the china trip, with pictures and all, but due to uh, circumstances, I don't feel very safe and easy posting things about myself; so I'll just let the blog stagnate for a while, since I like the blog url far too much to change it or do anything to it.

As a little treat I'll post two pictures.

Eeeee. 3 hours+ straight Chemistry with Miss Goh. Aaaaa. Can diee :(

Sunday, May 29, 2005

Contrary to what a certain person thinks, this morning was not funny at all.

It started out on a nice note, with Ya Kun toast and tea with Ian (:

It was after worship that things started to go downhill. Melvin came.

I also had my very first asthma attack today.

Coincidence? HA!

At least I got to see Star Wars today finally with Ianthe and Cherie (:

Saturday, May 28, 2005

Saw Camelot yesterday courtesy of Ianthe's mum (:

It was very nice! All the dancing and acting, however the singing wasn't that great. Spotted a few ex MGS girls up on stage including Olson house's ex-captain.

The dancing made me think what would've happened if I had joined dance in sec 1. Hahaha, I know what you guys are thinking, "Melodie? Dancing? She can't even walk without tripping over something!". Hahaha, oh well (: In the end I didn't join because I didn't know anyone who was joining dance.

In P1, I used to take ballet. But after that, I kept on losing the CCA sign up sheet so that was the end of my dancing >.<

Still, guides has been once of the best things that's happened to me, because of all the friends I made there (:

Oh well. 'Tis the Lord's will.

Thursday, May 26, 2005

Wheeeee. Got my results back!

Percentage: 54.35%
L1R5: 26
MSG: 5.25

Remarks: An intellegent student, Melodie should try to participate more in class. She has a pleasant disposition and gets along well with her classmates.

Oooo. How interesting. I kind of did better than expected for my results, in fact, this must be the best mid term result I've gotten since I entered sec school (I can't actually compare because I don't have my book with me).

My L1R5 sucks real bad though, but it could have been worse (:

Thing is, I couldn't even feel happy with depressed looking and crying classmates all around. I even feel bad for not failing :/

Oh well. Strange black pepper chips (:

Rain rain came today,
Thank the Lord, for the day!
Didn't have to run today,
Rain rain came today!

Wheeeee. The cross sountry run got cancelled! 3/4 of MGS got stranded at Macritchie and I wasn't one of them! Hahaha :D

Ianthe's dad came to pick me up late and just as the car was turning out of my houses' lane, the call from Cherie came saying the run was cancelled and that we had to go straight to MGS! Yayayayay :D:D:D:D

Ianthe and I started to call other people and I got through to an oblivious Shermaine and from Vicky, found out that majority of MGS girls were stuck at Macritchie. Phew. Thank goodness Ianthe's dad was slightly late. Boy am I glad I didn't take bus.

When we got to school, there were about 50 girls out of all the hour levels looking disoriented and unsure sitting at the concourse and watching the rain.

Then, we went to the audi and they screened
Vita è bella, La, or in other words, Life is beautiful.

It was so nice!

Then after recess (the milo van was there :D) we went to watch the book parade finalists. The winner for the upper sec was so predictable but all the same we still cheered for Ianthi and Cherie when they were on stage (:

Wheeee, I hope they can't find a suitable replacement date for the run :D

Sunday, May 22, 2005

Hey hey (extra hey! for ian)! Look what I found:

Aaaaaaaa. I failed maths :( by 2 marks too! And when you put it upon 100, i only failed by 1.25 marks :'( Noooooooooooooooooooooo. I really tried very hard this time 'round! Aaaaaaaaaaa.

Got the rest of my marks back today. Can't say i'm extremely displeased or very happy either. This time, all the exams were so hard! Only three girls passed geography too.

Surprisingly, I didn't fail SS + Hist, got 60/100 :D some consalation I guess, however I didn't do as well as I would have liked for Geography, E Math, Literature, Biology and Chemistry (thought that was my best result)

Aaaaaaa. I know it was really tough, and I did study hard, but still! It's just so upsetting. I didn't fail overall unlike some of my classmates, managed to scrape through yet again, but still :(

Especially for the dumb E Math! So close yet so farrrr.

Actual, Projected and Wishlist for Marks
English – B4 B4 A2
E Math – D7 D7 (at least it’s not F9!) C6
Chinese – F9 F9 F9
Social Studies – C6/C5 E8 C6
Half History – C6/C5 F9 (forgot some things!) C6
Literature – C6/C5 B4 A2
Geography – C6/C5 D7 A2 (note huge disparity)
Chemistry – B4 C5 A2
Biology – C6/C5 B4 A2

With such wonderful marks, the overall had to be fantastic too! A measly 52.81% with chinese seriously dragging everything down as usual. Aye.

Thursday, May 19, 2005

YAY! I passed math! :D:D:D:D:D but it's only paper one. Aaaaa. I really hope I pass Math overall. The rest of my marks have been rather dismal, but just a pass for math and i'll be really happy! First a pass then a C6! Yayayayayayayyyy.

English was sad on the other hand, got a B4. Apparetly if you're writing about a tourist attraction, it's supposed to be good. How was I to know? Jeez. instead i wrote a desciptive essay on seedly ole Clarke Quey. At least I passed. Aaaaaa, 3B3 had the most number of failures among the B-band classes (no scholars to pull down the average).

Interestingly enough, Muriel also got a B4. The two girls who got the top scores of an A2 dropped all the way to B4. Oh well. Could've been worse.

Geog, Lit, Chem and basically everything tomorrow! Aaaaaaa. Freaky freaky :(

I want a kitty (:

From Vicky's letter:

"Melodie - Ma'am [poofy!]: Whai you! Yes, you looked ridiculous while offering feliciations today at Chapel - tripping over the wire while being blinded by the projector beams is very amusing, I must say..."

O.O

When I was walking for chapel on Monday, Cherie and I were talking about Star Wars (: Just a Cheire god revved up and was making funny noises and talking about the special effects, the dumb technican removed the projector cover just as we walked past and we both of got blinded.

Dumb projector.

Ahahaha. Today's debate was so cool!

It was some exhibition debate, MG vs [my current school from 2007 to 2008] (I think). The motion: Females are the deadlier sex.

It was totally hilarious! When the three guys came out, everyone clapped. When the three girls came out, everyone clapped, cheered and screamed. Hahaha.

Of course the guys were the proposition and the girls the opposition.

However as the debate progressed, the motion soon turned into: Christine (one of the debaters) is deadly to the male sex.

Here are some gems:
the first female debater is talking about how men are stronger, making them the deadlier sex
"Point Madam" - the guys
"Yes?"
"But Christine can beat *points to one of the guys on his team* him at arm wrestling!"

one of the male debaters is making his speech
"Point Sir" - Christine
"No Sir" - the debater

one of the male debaters is trying to make a point
"But Christine..." - the proposition
"Christine is an exception!"

And it when on and on like that. Very entertaining. When Christne came out, she blew us all away with her speech and responses. Man, she was really good! During her speech, she was interrupted by the proposition who used Desperate Housewives' Gabrielle's affiar with the much younger gardener.

The whole debate soon progressed into a thinly veiled debate on men not being able to satisfy women and sex. The most laughter was heard from the gallery where the upper secondary was seated. Thank goodness, or else I'd really worry about my juniors -.-"

-----

Ohhh, I didn't make it for the 3rd round for the prefectorial nominees. Oh well. Tis the Lord's will. Anyway, can't say it wasn't expected. The disasterous interview was a blessing in disguise, ie: no worrying since I already know the result. If all went well and I didn't get in, then I'd gone crazy trying to figure out what went wrong.

The Lord works in mysterious ways.

Rawr. Some CareerKeys thing tomorrow. I think it's going to find out what jobs are suitable for us, how interesting (: eeee what if mine says I'm suitable for accountancy?

Projected and Wishlist for Marks
English – B4 A2
E Math – D7 (at least it’s not F9!) C6
Chinese – F9 F9
Social Studies – E8 C6
Half History – F9 (forgot some things!) C6
Literature – B4 A2
Geography – D7
A2 (note huge disparity)
Chemistry – C5 A2
Biology – B4 A2

Oh no oh no. There's a reply from the prefectorial board regarding my profile sitting in my inbox. I don't dare open it :/ aaaaa.

I bet it'll go something like this: we have interviewed you and found that you are mentally unstable and have self esteem issues. This is a picture of us (the prefects) jumping on a printed copy of your profile. Have a nice day and keep 5m away from us.

What I've learned about failure through the years can be summed up in three words: life goes on.

Thursday, May 12, 2005

It was bad, it was bad, it was bad.

I met Tian Ying and Faith at 2:30 and we were all nervous, around 2:45 we went to the confrence room only to find that the interviews were being held at 1I.

When we reached 1I, we found three seats outside facing the classroom, inside we saw Miss Ho and 4 prefects, a sec 3 girl being grilled inside.

After waiting for some time, I decided to pray. As I was praying, I heard whispers that sounded like either 'Miss Goh' or 'Miss Kon', when I finished praying and looked up, there was Miss Goh.

She began to say how she was marking chem exam scripts and decided to go for a walk, she said that since I was so sickly, I should not become a prefect and that I shouldn't be a prefect because of how i was and went on to say that 'It must be someone up there who sent me here'. As she was talking, Faith went inside.

When Miss Goh left, I felt so upset I started to tear a little, but I quickly dried up my tears and went to read the newpaper that I had in my bag.

Soon, Faith came out and Tian Ying went in. My mind was screaming for me to run away, since Miss Goh was probably God's way of telling me not to go in, yet something compelled me to stay. Stay and do my best, which of course turned out to be a very bad idea.

When I was called in, I immidiately started to screw things up and my voice kept on quivering as I spoke, on the verge of tears. I was just so terrified. However it was one of their questions that got me.

I can't remember the exact question, but the only answer I could think of was to tell them of the whole guides leadership thing. Of course that touched a raw nerve inside me and coupled with the fact I was scared out of my wits, I started to cry as I spoke to them.

After what felt like an eternity I was allowed to leave and just as I stepped out of the classroom and began to close the door, the chattering began. I don't have to find out the results next week, I already know it.

Even before the crying began, my answers were weak and not exactly stunning.

I went around and gathered up my bag before running to the toilet to cry some more.

Useless, useless, useless. That's what I am, I can't teach, I can't think well, I can't lead, I can't get things done, I can't even sit through something that makes me sad without crying.

Faith and Tian Ying were long gone and I decided to walk home.

"'woe to you!' she screamed at the tree, 'for you had not waited for me before falling.'"
Oh no oh no. Prefect interviews in a few hours! Aaaaaaaa. I'm so scared. Must calm down. doing my profile for it now. Aaaaaaaa. Freakyfreakyfreaky :( Oh man, my profile looks so boring. Aaaaaaa. My vocab for the profile is that of a P3's. But what to do? I don't know what else to write. Aaaaaaa. Okay. I think i'm done now.

I’m Mel Wong from Sec 3B!. My CCA is girl guides and I am the patrol second for my patrol. I am also 3B!’s welfare officer and I have also taught Sunday school to the lower primary children in my church. I believe that my character can be described as fun, caring and helpful. I think that a prefect should be strong in the face of adversity, and she should remain upright and retain her integrity no matter the circumstances. Being a prefect would mean a chance to give back something to MGS, a school that has cared and nurtured me since primary school, and a chance to serve God outside of church.

Aaaaaa. Going to send it off now I guess.

Ahahahaha. Deborah sent me this picture. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it. Stupid hair. Someone should go attack him with a flamethrower and set fire to his hair.

Everyone's been so nice to be today! You guys are all so great (:

I almost fainted again today. Aaaaa. I had the same tummy pain, and I was feeling rather weak by the time I had walked up to the hall. I went down for assembly early with Grace and when I left her by the flagposts for the class area, I already needed some support to stand up. Everyone was so worried (and that person didn't come, Thank the Lord), but I managed to last through till the devotions.

It was Mrs Sim's tale of some princess (?!?!) that got to me. I couldn't last that long and I sat down. Immidiately Miss Goh and Mrs Liow (Yeow?) were there to help me and Miss Goh gave me her neck massage again despite my protests.

Then I was brought up by Eleanor and Yihui to the staffroom where Mrs Liow brought out Mrs Nat Lim.

After that (I wanted to take the exam), i was helped up to the hall and had to lean on Marina in order to get to my seat. Aaaaa.

When I started writing, I discovered just how weak I was, even holding the pen upright and writing soon tired me and soon I was dozing off (well, partially because it WAS chinese) and I struggled to stay awake. However, in the last 30 min, Mrs Liow came in the invigilate. she came around to wake me up, brought me warm water in the freezing hall and hugged me a few times to cheer me on.

Aaaaa. Guilt guilt guilt. In her Lit class i drew in my Lit book. During english I threw paper balls around and she even submitted my name for the prefect things without objecting. Aaaaa. She's just so nice, boring, but nice.

I went home for a short nap and to change before meeting Cherie, Angeline, Stephanie and Ianthe at Citilink Mall.

At Suntec, we wandered into Times and a bought myself a Patricia Cornwell book, however it was too big for my handbag so I carried the bag around. Back at Citilink Mall, Cherie and Ianthe were looking at it (we were at crepes and cremes) and I forgot completely about it.

At orchard, I suddenly remembered my bag and everyone went back with me to Citilink Mall to get my book back! Aaaaa, so nice! I feel so touched by everyone today.

Shall bring a gift for them on Monday (:

Oh no. Prefect Interviews are tomorrow! Aaaaaa. Mine's at 3:10PM. Aaaaaa. I'm scared, and I have yet ti finish my profile. It's so boring!

Monday, May 09, 2005

The vandals have struck MGS! And they can't spell too, F**K is no spelled F*K. I hope the police catch them.

Litlit! Eeee, I wonder how I'll do. When I was talked about Dr Stockmann (I wrote Q2), I said "It's like reading a story about an idiotic duck who stands in the middle of the road and refuses to budge, no matter what." Oh dear, I wonder what will happen -.-"

Half Hist tomorrow, then Chinese on Wednesday. Aaaa. Hmmm, I will study Chinese for at least 30 min tomorrow! Much better than last time and I WILL write zhen zhen ri shang correctly, though I still have no idea what it means.

Oh nooo. Exams ending. This means the prefect interviews and the submission for the profile is drawing closer. Aaaaa.

Actually, I have no idea why I'm so worried. I'm not going to be a prefect anyway and I have nothing to lose, but still! Eeeee.

Ahahahaha.
Yay, the major exams are over (:

Yayayayay. I can feel the stress flying away (:

Random thoughts during the exams:
"spiderman... spiderman (the theme song)"
"ahahaha MAHTS 2" --> and they didn't change it at all! It was still like that when we finished.
"why's there a star on the floor?"
"eeee. bug!"
"ohhh. it's raining. heaven is crying"
"so cool. Inez. what an interesting name"
"what the heck is that?"
"huh?"
"that doesn't seem right..."
"oh dear, I forgot how to do it."
"oh no, I'm going to sneeze."
"And we’ll be faithful to our calling..."
"aaaaah! CONCENTRATE!"
"this would be a good picture..."
"why does Jtay sound so strange when he says 'time's up'?"
"hehehehe."

Ahhh. Lameness (:

Thursday, May 05, 2005

About a month ago, I overheard Yin Ling and Mrs Lim talking about sending a get well card to someone. Being curious as usual, I asked who they were talking about.

Turns out, they were sending a card to Kristen, or Krikwa. Apparently she had done very well for her o levels despite staying in hospital for most of the time. I didn't really think much about it after that. After all, i remember hearing in sec 1 that she was recovering from leukimia, the treatment had worked.

Too bad I didn't make the connection that day. She suffered a relaspe and died on Tuesday. She was only 18.

I can't say I knew her, heck, I don't even know if I've seen her in person before. When I entered Guides in sec 1 she was already in hospital. It's just that I can't help but feel a tinge of sadness. It's just so hard to accept.

And she was called home to be with her Father.

Wednesday, May 04, 2005

Ahhh. Last night was bad. Very bad. I couldn't sleep till one thirty am this morning, then at three am i woke up scared because I had a nightmare. After that I barely managed to sleep before I had to go get ready for school.

Aaaaa. Wonder I survived today. Thank goodness I don't take A Math.

Interestingly enough, the ending of my nightmare was kind of queer. There was this long hair ghost (think Ju-On) who wanted to steal Ryan's soul, because he's a child, so I was running with him away from the ghost and when I sort of reached safety, there was this teacher who appeared. I asked her why the school didn't call a priest to exorcise the ghost, and then I woke up immidiately. In fact, I woke up jusy as I thought of the word 'priest'. Strange.

I hope I don't get another nightmare tonight.

Oh dear, Chemistry tomorrow! Eeeeee. I'm still a little blur about Acids, Bases and Salts. Aaaaaah.

Tuesday, May 03, 2005

Social Studies tomorrow! It seems that the more I learn of Malaysia, the more I dislike it. Oh well. No comment. Oh yeah,

Happy Birthday IAN!
