Yesterday I watched 3 movies: All Quiet on the Western Front, Akeelah and the Bee (and I found the guy who played Dylan Chiu hot) and Snow Cake which is showing at The Picturehouse now.

I loved Alan Rickman in Snow Cake, I have no idea why fan girls are crazy over him in the Harry Potter movie series though, his full acting chops and dry humour aren't shown there. His acting was also nicely contrasted with Sigourney Weaver's role as the madcap autistic woman (which I why I ended up watching it with my parents in the first place). The depiction of autism was also very nicely done and well researched. I really enjoyed it.

Work again tomorrow. My grandma's results to confirm the presence of a tumour in her lungs will also be out tomorrow.
