Around the middle of the video, they show Christian Coulson :D:D:D
Today I was at Toa Payoh Central with my family and I went with my mum to various pharmacies to try and fill out my brother's prescription for some anti-biotics. We went to all 3 pharmacies and they all didn't carry it :(
Anyway the oddest occurences were at Guardian Pharmacy, the last one my mother and I went to. I was wandering around which the Pharmacist was making some calls (to find where they sold the medicine my mum was looking for - they didn't carry it there) when this middle aged (and may I say UGLY) saleslady stopped me inside the store.
"Xiao Jie (young lady), ni xiang zao she muo (what are you looking for)? Ni yao (do you want) ACNE SCAR CREAM ma?
Strangely enough I didn't feel offended, just extremely amused. I said no and wandered off to some other section of the pharmacy to wait for my mother to be done.
Just as we were about to step out of the pharmacy, I saw an old man, dressed in a sage green sun dress, in high heels and with huge breasts! They looked like doubles Ds at least! It was so weird, and the man looked older than my grandpa (who is already 70). He had a very short hair cut, but it was in a distinctly feminine style. It was so odd, words fail me. I stopped walked and turned back to look at him, to make sure I wasn't hallucinating with my headache.
WEIRD!

HAHAHAHA, note the super low position of Chemistry
You scored as Justice (Fairness). Your life is guided by the concept of Fair Justice: Everyone, yourself included, should be rewarded and punished according to the help or harm they cause. Today I had a really bad headache during tuition and I only took medicine after tuition ended and my goodness I really suffered so much :S At 3:10 my headache was so bad i'd rate it a 10/10 and I constantly felt like puking. When I got home (I was at the Nat. Library) I just ran up to bed and quickly changed and went to sleep, after waking up arouund 6:30, my headache was still there and now I still have it, but it isn't as bad as before.
I don't know why I keep getting these tension headaches, I'm not stressed - I think, but it's starting to affect my attention in school because I can't think very well with a headache :( Oh well. I just felt like complaining, too bad my headache doesn't go away even after I complain.

Today I went to look for lao shi during recess because she wanted me to meet her everyday to practice by Chinese in prep for the O levels and I called the extention number but the teacher on the other end said she was in a meeting.
After school I had a bad headache and guides, so I couldn't see her, but out of courtesy I went to look for her at the staffroom and I dialed the same number, when the teacher on the other end sounded different and CONFUSED and said she was coming out, my heart sank.
I had called the wrong teacher! I don't know why I keep thinking my Sec 4 lao shi is Mdm Ng KH (which is my sec 1 lao shi and the same teacher I called) instead of Mdm BH Tan :(
Anyway I decided to stick around and explain my mistake because running away was just disrespectful so I explained my predicament to huang lao shi in mandarin (lol) and she helped me check, but zeng lao shi wasn't there.
It was quite funny in retrospective but I was mortified by my mistake, hahaha.
Like I said, Sec 4 brings along thick skin :p

Speaking of gossiping, alot of people in my class have been gossiping nowadays, I picked up one of two topics because people were talking so loudly but never joined in. Still, it is very strange to have a bunch of people whispering and staring at someone as they talk. I have a feeling my days of being the gossip's main target are over, thank goodness. It's extremely unpleasant to be gossiped about despite what many people might say about not caring about what gossips say.
I had a bad headache again today :( I keep getting them all the time nowadays, it might be because I sleep later on Mondays (I stay up to watch Grey's Anatomy) but I used to go with less than 20 hours sleep spread over 5 schooldays in the beginning of this year with no problems. RAWR.
I know how to fold 2 origami boxes, a butterfly and a swan now :D

I don't really see what's wrong with guys listening to pop songs, provided it's not ALL pop. Though that beings said guys who listen to Britney Spears compulsively and/or Backstreet Boys, N*SYNC and other bubblegum pop groups are probably in the closet or flamboyantly gay. A song or two now and then is fine, since some of the songs sang by those bands/singers can be quite sweet and nice and a change from all the XCORE bands.
Remember 'don't judge a book by it's cover'?, except in modern context it's either
a) 'Don't judge someone by their musical tastes'
b) 'Don't judge someone by their mp3 player/handphone/car/school'
c) 'Don't judge someone by their degree/salary/allowance/house district'
Oh nevermind, I just remembered how superfical people are. I could go on and on.
I passed the LOCI/Probability test! But barely. Sigh. It was so easy too! My mind short-circuited during the test :( I hope we don't have to get it signed because I don't dare show it to my dad; he wants me to get at least a B4 for everything now that I've dropped Chemistry.
Sigh, my birthday isn't till the 26th next month, anyhow Munich is M18. All the nice movies showing now are NC16. GRRRR. I remember I missed Napola (2005) and Jeux d'enfants (2003) because of that dumb rating. Lots of nice film fest movies are NC16 too, but of course no one will accompany me to watch them. I can easily get a mainstream R21 movie but if I want Napola I have to order it from Amazon.de (Germany) even after I'm 16. How dumb. A Very Long Engagement with Audrey Tatou was also very good, and NC16 - but I saw it anyway because it was a mainstream release.
Oh and a funny part is Casanova, which is released by Disney/Touchstone has been rated NC16 in Singapore, but they advertise on NEOPETS. HAHAHAHAHA. Talk about reaching out to the wrong audience.
Wow, this is the longest entry I've had in weeks. Blogger had better not crash or else I won't blog for a long time.

Name five of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then pick five people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not use things that someone else has already used.
1. The sense of accomplishment you get when you finish up a whole pile of homework (:
2. Singing along to songs
3. People watching
4. Snuggling up with a great book by an author I like
5. The warm fuzzy feeling you get when you know you're making someone happy
People I tag: Victor, Foe, YAN and Suat :D

If you haven't heard the last on goings about the brohaha in the Muslim world now: shame on you! For more info read this article. Anyway the point is the Muslim world at large is angry because a Danish newspaper had gone and defied their belief that the Prophet Mohammad should not be depicted in drawings, even though they were given a warning and informed of the Muslim's belief.
However instead of saying who's wrong and who's in the right (I believe the Danish newspaper is in the wrong just for the record), what really got to me was how the Muslim world has responded.
In the news today there was this wonderful film clip of Muslims in Jakarta storming the Danish Embassy and
a) burning Denmark's flag
b) ripping Denmark's flag into shreds: the most creative being riding on different motorbikes in different directions
c) throwing bits of rubbish at the Danish state crests
d) covering the Danish state crests with that looks like a poster of Osama Bin Laden thrusting a knife into a Westerner's throat
I sat there thinking of what a right and proper mess they were making when the clip switched over to a peaceful scene of Muslims in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. They were having a sit down outside the Embassy there and they were completely organised.
Granted the attacks on the Embassy in Jakarta were by a hardline muslim group, but from a casual observer's point of view, he would have a very dim view of Muslims. This made me think of 'fighters' in the past who got what they wanted through very different means.
People remember Gandhi and Martin Luther King, two remarkable men who did not resort to violence to get what they wanted, and they changed the world completely. It is for that reason that they will always be remembered and thought well of.
People who resort to violence are hardly ever remembered. If I mentioned Emmeline Pankhurt, chances are you'd go: "Who?". Emmeline Pankhurt the founder of the women's suffrage movement in England in the early 1900s. Anyway this is to give you an idea of who she was (taken from the write up I did for Guide Camp)
Emmeline Pankhurst was a sufferage who fought ardently in the pre and post WWI period for women’s rights. She started the Women's Social and Political Union in 1905 which was more famous for it’s militant (and almost terrorist) stand when it’s demands were not ment after many years. When WWI broke out, Emmeline channelled her resources into the White Feather Campaign which gave out white feathers to men in civillian uniform to shame them into joining with the British Army. Her passionate and determined stand also earned her the dubious honor of being improsioned several times. In March 1918, women were finally given the right to vote, though equal rights were not given till 1928 (by way of voting age). She died age 69 on June 14th, 1928.
