I was looking at my schedule yesterday and I realised in the 2nd week of exams, I have 6 days completely exam free (chinese listening not really counted), that is including the weekends too because of MGS's 10th May 'Election Day' school holiday. MGS's own Holland-Bukit Timah constituiency isn't even being contested! And this walkover include any areas remotely nearby District 10, I think almost 75% of parents of MGS girls' won't have to vote at all.

The problem of having such a big gap in the middle of my exams is that I will definetely slack and my exam atmosphere will dissipate: yeah I know I'm really lucky but wa! How am I ever going to maintain a proper frame of mind with so much free time?

The grass isn't always greener on the other side :/

Okay I am super tired. I just wrote "Melodie" instead of the date in my physical diary.

Anyway Mid Years Exams are right 'round the bend (next week to be exact), so I shouldn't be posting any new entries till then unless some amusing stuff happens or something.

For some reason I don't feel stressed, yet I feel stressed! I stare at my schedule and thing "Aiya, still got time" but on the other hand my mind is all "OYYY! MID YEAR EXAMS. WHY ARE YOU STILL SLACKING?!?!". Whatever it is, the stress pimples are sure popping up all over my face. Pop pop pop.

I need to go do some math.

Wednesday, April 26, 2006

HAHAHAHA oh man. I was no way as alert to double entendres before La Belle came along.

Today during Math, Grace and A* were arguing about the way to solve a probability question. A was getting super heated up as usual, when she yelled "She's playing with herself!" (in reference to the probability question). Oh my GOSH. HAHAHAHA. I just burst out laughing manically and I couldn't stop laughing for the longest time ever. The people around me were laughing too but I was the loudest and most unabashed - plus I started it. Later on out of the corner of my eye I saw A, who had turned around and was glaring at me in a most menacing way and I ignored her, but the moment she turned back I started to stifle a giggle. I am so amused.

Just now I was also thinking of Pike and it's opening line of "Pike, three inches, perfect" but accidentally ommitted "Pike" and ended up with "three inches, perfect" and before I could stop my train of thought, the next thing I thought of was "Isn't that kind of short?".

Today out of curiosity I typed 'thechartreusetiger' into google and I found various hits about my accounts from random forums and so on, and I also found this:

Image hosting by Photobucket

As you can imagine, I was really shocked. Not to mention the fact that since I haven't recieved any flames from believers of Nazi Mysticism (HAHAHA) I had completely forgotten about that entry.

In response to Ianthe: hahaha yeah, I think you're right, she probably saw you first then me as I was walking towards you.

I also noticed how out of all the blogs I read, I update the most frequently :S I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but seing as I usually have at the most, 1 visitor a day, it seems pretty retarded. Oh well.

Flag day was alright I guess, but there were so many students! Is the orgnaisation mad or what? Over saturating the market only pisses off the pedestrians more and makes work harder for the student collectors -.-

A few people stood out, some for good reasons and others for bad.
- This woman who was togged out in Dior and LV who gaves me a malicious glare after I asked for a donation, I felt like screaming 'I bet it's fake!' after her but didn't have the presence of mind then. Sigh.
- This nice Aussie woman who stopped to talk to me and gave me AUSTRALIAN money after she said she didn't have spare change in S$. I was very amused and wished her a nice day (:
- Another woman who stopped to talk to me and said I looked very sad (because everyone kept staying away from us) and told me that people were usually grumpier in the morning. She have me $2 (:
- This JTay lookalike guy who I dared Ianthe to ask. In the end I went to ask him and he looked at me blankly. When his friend passed by and I asked I figured out why: They didn't understand English! They were from mainland China (my guess) and trying to find 50 Orchard Road, wherever that was, so Ianthe and I tired to help them find their way
- This woman who saw me and started running, and then stopped, saw Ianthe and then started running away again. HAHAHAHA SO FUNNY. I started laughing after I saw her running. She looked so stupid, how unbecoming behaviour of a grown woman!

Anyway the nasty people were all over and they kept doing the same stuff, ignoring us, acting like we weren't there, glaring at us or simply increasing their speed whenever they saw us. Tsk, I got an A for 2.4, I can outrun you morons anyday!

Evern though people saying 'No thank you' and waving us away got a little tired after a while, at least they bothered to tell us, and for those of you who complain about people donating only 10 cents and taking a sticker, at least they donated right?

Still I hope I don't have to go for Flag Day ever again. I'd much rather be hands-on with the older folks, talking to them and such. It's so much more meaningful than looking at the ugly side of mankind (and people wonder why nihilists even exist).

-----

Anyway on to La Cucharacha now. Yesterday B3 joined 4 tables together at the back of the canteen and we all ate in together.

A few tables away from us was the La Cucharacha table. Somehow while they were eating a cockroach appeared and ran across the table (what a dumb cockroach) and naturally they all screamed and tried to run away. However it started off a whole wave of screams and the tables around were all evacuated. The funniest part was when literally the whole canteen stopped moving and started at the cockroach epicenter and random girls started screaming even when there were quite a distance from the roach. The whole scene was so ludicrus I couldn't stop laughing.

Anyway el roacho hung around the table for a little while more before disappearing.

However a few minutes later, the Cockroach struck back! There it was, on a pillar about 3m away from the original roach table, and wriggling it's ugly feelers about! Scream scream scream! It ducked behind some lame ass pri school cheerleader's poster and I started to shout "Smash it smash it!" (well I was quite drowned out la, the whole place was in chaos and random girls were screaming again). Melissa started to make her way to smash it, but some other girl moved, albeit apprehensively and tried to smash it, but no! The nefarious pest ran out from behind the poster, alarmed by the girl's attempt on it's life and ran up the pillar.

Fed up with the surrounding mayhem, a teacher (can't remember who) came and tried to kill it with a bunch of papers (come to think of it, it was probably a bunch of worksheets) but the roach darted about and out of the teacher's reach and then it suddenly did the unthinkable: it jumped! And jump it did, right to a row of tables 2 rows away from the table. The girls there all screamed and ran away, and I just started laughing harder (because as everyone knows, it's only funny if it doesn't happen to you). In between laughs, someone threw down the bench with a great whack and after that everything seemed to die down.

No more cockroach, no more excitement. Goodbye roach. I hope none of your compatriots visit us again.

I had a really amusing day today thanks to the hilarious escapades of La cucharacha (ie: a cockroach) during recess. I'll blog about it tomorrow or something because I have the most horrendous headache now :(

I had my 2.4 run today and I clocked in about 13:58 :D That makes it all As for my PFT except for my IPU. Nevermind, I am happy (:

Flag Day tomorrow, sigh. I remember the last time I did flag day was when I was sec 1 and I still recall this super rude and horrid woman who was quite well dressed, another reminder of how appearences are oh-so-decieving.

5 Item test today!

It was quite good, though aiya, I regret not doing just 1 more pull up, I could've gotten a B! I was concentrating on doing 11 (the minimum for a C grade) and ended up doing 13. I was really happy with my shuttle run (considering I turned my ankle in the last few seconds) and sit and reach (HAHAHA i typed it as 'shit and reach' just now), first time I've gotten an A :D. Broad jump was great too with 205cm. I bet loads of people beat me but nevertheless I am still happy (:

2.4km run is on Friday, now all I have do is get a C and i'll achieve my set target for 2006 (:

Lit class was really raunchy today with Keat's La Belle Dame Sans Merci. Brenda, Hidayah and I kept laughing at the 'sexual imagery'. The reason why I was laughing so much was because the whole notion of a sex poem was so unexpected and amusing, not to mention totally out of place and hearing Miss Bong try to describe what they were doing that makes in 'sexual imagery' ('set her on my pacing steed' anyone? Even I, the one everyone calls a pervert, did not pick up that double entendre). Well that and Brenda's favourite words of 'sweet moan'. I can't remember having such a fun lit lesson as I had today, though everyone in lit class must think the 3 of us are real pervs seing as we were the one laughing the hardest and laughing when no one else was laughing.

Oh and before I forget: I passed the transformations e math test by 1 mark and the chinese yellow book test by 4 marks. Nevermind, it's a start (:

Basterdised from someone's lit essay: "You never know who's watching your every move."

Eeeek. Looks like I have another creepy stalker/admirer in the form of the mentally disabled boy next door. So not funny. Tonight he was watching me eat dinner in the kitchen, I had my back to the wall and my dad spotted him so I turned around and just waved to him before turning my back to continue my dinner. He did that a few times before too!

Sigh. Why do I always attract the super odd ones?
After school today I was waiting outside for my grandpa to pick me up with Jacinth and eating yummy milk hello panda biscuits when 5 police motorcyclists drove past us, in a quasi formation.

Anyway we naturally thought there was a VIP coming through the area but after the two cars behind the motorcade broke off to drive into MGS, we realised they were just practising, anyway when they stopped at the red light outside MGS they broke formation.

They rode off after the light switched back to green and about a minute later my grandpa came by and I got into the car. The motorcade was driving really slowly and at about Old Holland Road we had soon caught up with the motorcade and my grandpa's car was right behind them and lots of cars driving by began to stare at our car, thinking we were VIPs or something. HAHAHA. So amusing.

Too bad they continued driving along Old Holland Road after my grandpa turned off at Greenleaf. So amusing!

I hope it stops raining soon, I want to run over and give something to Ianthe before her tuition starts.

The car's tyre burst today while my family and I were on our way to my maternal grandmother's house. My dad ended up pulling over and I helped him a little as he changed the car tyres, in less than 15 mins we were all ready to go (:

I sort of know how to change a tyre now I guess, but man that tyre sure is heavy >.<

Anyway in the short time we were changing tyres my mother managed to wander away and buy a whole pile of mangoes. There wasn't even a store in sight in the area we stopped! My mother is scary.

I hurt my left arm during the Swim finals.

Now my left arm hurts, but at least I can move my neck.

Wednesday, April 12, 2006

Today was a sort of good day.

I woke up with a sore neck again so I brought my grandpa's muscle rub thingy to school and applied it about once every 2 hours. My neck feels better now (:

I also got back my lit essay today (on Hughes' Pike) and I did quite well, the highest mark I've gotten since I reached upper sec, hooray! But I think it was because I could really identify with Pike for it's themes and it's overall sinister feeling, if I had to do it on Fern Hill or Death of a Naturalist I think I wouldn't have done as well. Still a good mark is a good mark (:

Had the E Math Transformations test today and I ran out of time. For the last question I got stuck on an Enlargement question and ended up wasting obscene amounts of time on it and I nearly died when I heard Miss Ho go '5 mins left'. I skipped the question and rushed through the rest of the paper (about 3 questions?) and returned to that horrid question with a few minutes to spare. In the end I wrote down a random answer. I hope I pass.

Tuesday, April 11, 2006

Now the left side of my neck hurts, so all I can do is stare straight ahead. Sigh.
Since I don't want to study Transformations anymore, I shall do this quiz that Jacinth sabohed me with. Thanks ah?

Sigh, the last two days have postively sucked.

This morning Tian Ying and I went down by the further staircase for assembly. Once both of us (and about 1/2 of A3) reached the quadrangle, we realised that it was rainy day assembling positions because of DJW (discover Jesus week) - that is we were supposed to assemble outside the secondary school hall on the 3rd level.

All of us were really lazy and decided to form a 'class' and stood in front of the canteen instead on the ground level. It was really weird but it was nice being among the scholars because they really sang the MGS song and I felt happy when I heard them singing.

Earlier in the day when I woke up, I had stiff neck, now some 14 hours later my neck still hurts. It hurts so bad that I can't turn my head to the right without expierencing some sharp pain in my neck. Joy.

Also for some reason there have been alot of people either not seing me or daoing me. Do I have 'Please dao me' written on my head or what? After a shitty few days, the daoing this is really not helping, but sigh, what to do?

At least I had a relatively great past few weeks.

My mother bought sanitary pads from NTUC yesterday and she forgot to bring them upstairs. Just now when my grandparents, father and I were having dinner my brother found the packet o' pads and proceeded to rip open the packaging and stuck a pad onto the sofa. My grandfather stopped him when he finished his dinner. So fun!
I did, I can
I was, I am
Only human, living, dying
Just like any fool who ever breathed

Maybe it's the sanest thing
Or just the sweetest kind of dream
But love was surely made for fools
(Love was surely made for fools)
Love was surely made for fools
(Love was surely made for fools)
Love was surely made for fools like me.

Hey look! I can feed lao hu now.

I decided to get rid of the bird because well, it looks stupid.
All the better to freak us out! The bird looks very stupid though.
I had a rather odd dream last night: I dreamt that I was pregnant.

In my dream I was the same age as I am now, and for that reason I kept counting months to make sure my delivery wouldn't mess with my O levels (yeah like hell it wouldn't) and I kept arriving at September, the 9th month. However what was strange was that I knew what month I had got inpregnated in and it was November. That would have meant I'd be carrying a child for 11 months. Horrors.

Anyway I remember knowing who the dad was and being happy about the pregnancy, but the people I was with in the dream didn't know I was pregnant even though I was waddling all over the place, hahaha. It was such a weird dream.

I think seing Miss Bong waddle about with such a happy and contented smile upon her face has finally invaded my dreams along with the O levels. Tsk (for the O levels thing).

And for the record I think being a mother is a very fine idea and I'd like to be one in the future, just obviously not NOW. I haven't even had sex yet.

Today after church my family and I went to Little India's Tekka Mall for lunch. My dad and I found a table and the cleaner was cleaning it and I sat down on one of the chairs, suddenly some other chinese woman who looked about 19-23 came and sat down in the seat next to me. I was so shocked I didn't know how to react, I thought she had made a mistake, I wanted to say something but a thought hit me: 'What if she started yelling at me in mandarin? I can't swear in mandarin.' So I ended up walking away.

I was super pissed and I wanted to sic Ryan onto those women (that woman's friends joined her later). In the end my mother found another table but I was in a foul mood during lunch. My dad said I should have just given her the finger, a universally known way of telling people to: 'Eff off and die'.

I need to learn me some mandarin swear words.

Hello. Today we shall have a friendly reminder to all my readers!

a) Password protected blogs can - and will be - hacked.
b) Don't post personal particulars online, addresses, phone numbers, even your full name is a bad idea.
c) When blogging about events, do NOT bitch about people you know because this is the internet, everything is public
d) When in doubt about how close an entry toes the line for c), DON'T post it
e) This IS Singapore, land of somethings resticted speech, do you really have to say what you feel about that other race?

And that basically sums it up for today! Dismissed children!

Yesterday when I was buying food for recess, something really odd happened.

After I handed my money to the canteen vendor, I felt someone smack my ass so I turned around in shock and saw some lower sec girl looking totally horrified. She stammered a 'sorry' before running away, I think the friend with her was laughing. I found the whole thing quite amusing after the shock had worn off; silly girl.

My grandparents left for Ipoh on Thursday morning so today I had to take bus to school. When I had alighted at the MGS bus stop I started walking at my usual pace when I saw this trio of really slow girls (I had met them before), SATU, DUA and TIGA. By 'slow' I mean they walked really slow, and 2 of the girls were prefects I think. Anyhow I was walking behind them a few paces when one of the girls (SATU?) turned around and saw me, and before I knew what was happening the three girls who were walking abreast shifted to the side of the pavement and started walking in one file! I was so shocked and I started to laugh (well choking the laugh at the same time) and in the end they moved back to their original position.

How amusing.

My brother is such an asshole! He drew on my biology stuff when I left it by the computer table. Thank goodness he didn't draw on my bio prac paper (bloody 10,000 succulent hairs) which was inside the files. Now I have to go redo my notes. Asshole.

Wednesday, April 05, 2006

Oh gosh. It gets even worse!

There's now some ah beng on TV wearing a yellow towel held up by safety pins (think toga style) and he's doing some super gay twirling on stage. He also has awful fake blonde hair. I bet he thinks he's the greatest.

I am going to change the channel now before my eyeballs bleed to death.
EW EW EW!

There's some weird ass girl with a pesudo-punk haircut dancing (if you could call that horse trotting dancing -) around on stage on Channel 8 now. Her singing is SO BAD and it's one of those dumb ass MANDO/ANGLO songs where those brainless morons add in a sprinking of English words to like TOTALLY EMPHASIZE A POINT! except her singing is so bad it sounds like Japanese/Korean/English (the sprinking bit).

Bloody hell, me ears!

Monday, April 03, 2006

Sigh, my brother's being really difficult, I've had to yell at him countless times in the past hour to get him to finish his food >.<>

Anyway I got my postsecret book :D My grandma gave it to me just now after I got back from school, she also gave me a whole bunch of really huge (read: not my usual style) but pretty earrings.

I think I have to check on Ryan again. I feel like some old hag of a mother -.-
Hello, I am in school now. I am also very bored. Ange, Prim and Choy have gone off for their health checkup and I have nothing to do. I wish I brought my Hist test book down so I could do notes or something, but THAT person is in class now so I don't want to go up and see her awful black face. To think I tried to patch things up during floorball prac. when I passed the ball to her many times! Ass.

Nevermind, it's nice to be the villianess once again. Everyone expects the worse of you and it keeps them pissed when you kick their ass :p At least I still have my intergrity and morals left, so I'm not the true villianess.

My grandparents came back from New Jersey last night! I don't have to take bus to school anymore (: Hooray! No more weird bugs falling on me at the bus stop or any other weird bus-related nonsense. I think I need to top up my ez-link through.

Goodbye Lenin! was quite good and the main actor was really cute (: The story took alot of concentrating so naturally my mum kept asking me loads of questions during the movie. The worse one was when she went: "Who's Lenin? Is it the mother?" I didn't even want to reply that, I just stared at her. My goodness, my mum is so simple in her general knowledge! It's a wonder how my dad (who is even more snobby when it comes to general knowledge/history) can survive with her. I love my mum but I wish she was more well read so I could have intellegent conversations with her like I have with my dad.

Last night's Expresso concert was really great (:

I really enjoyed myself and the acts were pretty good, though some of the singing groups were kind of well, bad. I kept cringing in my seat but I guess it's where their heart was when they agreed to perform that counts (:

There was also this beatbox-er called Donny/Donnie and it was really great listening to him. He was very talented and it was simply mind blowing listening to him!

The last act was Electrico! Even though I'm not a fan of them I went up front with a bunch of other girls and there was a mini mosh pit, after the concert I couldn't hear properly. It was just really fun getting into the whole spirit of things and letting lose, though I'm sure the teachers weren't too happy about it. I even saw some people leaving before Electrico came on and I found it highly amusing.

There's a good movie on Art Central today I think, It's Goodbye Lenin! and it comes on at 9PM.
